Modified Structures
A solo exhibition held at the Voyuer Gallery in Eugene, OR featuring recent work in painting, drawing and object making.
Largely comprised of abstraction featuring saturated colors, graphic shapes, collage, and architectectonic objects breaking down under the weight of the ideology that constructed them. Some drawings feature deflated vigilante silhouettes wrestling with origami, or ghostly human forms emerging out of rigid lattice work. My artist statement hasn’t changed all that much since 2011. I’m still finding new ways of approaching similar subject matter.
